Mrs. Kimberly Morrissette is the Executive Director and a native of Scooba, MS, where she grew up on her family’s farmland. She graduated from Kemper County High School in Dekalb, MS, in 1998 and earned an Associate of Arts degree in Social Work from East Mississippi Community College in 2000. She continued her education at the University of West Alabama, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Sociology in 2002, and a Master of Science in Psychology/Counseling in 2005. Mrs. Morrissette has also completed over 20 hours of coursework towards a PhD in Developmental Psychology at Walden University.
With 20 years of experience in the mental health field, Mrs. Morrissette has served as a QDDP/Program Coordinator for a nonprofit organization for 10 years and as a QE Specialist III for the Alabama Department of Mental Health for 6 years. She began Moving Forward Support Services with her husband in October 2019 and has worked as an independent contractor since 2012. Her background includes both administrative and direct service roles within mental health. As Executive Director, she is responsible for prioritizing the mission of Moving Forward Support Services (MFSS) and ensuring compliance with state regulations and standards. MFSS provides residential services and aims to offer an environment that supports growth and independence for individuals with disabilities.
